A new bill has been introduced into the House of Representatives which will help Visually Impaired Americans with the cost of accessible technology. H.R. 1734 is called the Access Technology Affordability
Act of 2017 and you can follow the bill’s status here.
The bill has not been passed by either the house of representatives or the senate at this time. But, the bill shows how the representative who introduced the bill, David Young, was made aware of the cost of accessible technology and how this bill can help millions of visually impaired Americans.
