iOS 14.5 beta indicates that Apple’s Bluetooth tracker AirTags is coming soon

In the latest iOS 14.5 beta, Apple has enabled the Items tab in the Find My app for all users. This is a good indicator that Apple’s Bluetooth tracker product is imminent (following around two years of rumors that the product is in development). However, the Items tab will also be used by third-party accessories that integrate with the Find My network, so technically the two things are not inextricably tied.

Introducing Tile: A Wireless way to Find Anything You Have Misplaced.

Have you ever misplaced something: like your keys, wallet, or phone? Well, Tile can help with that, and do even more.

Tile is a small Bluetooth enabled device that is shaped like a tile. It is 34MM wide, and less than 5mm thick. The Tile Slim is even thinner.
Once you have the Tile, you pair it to your phone using the Tile app, which is available for both iOS and Android.

You can then identify in the app what you are going to attach that Tile to. You can pair several Tiles, and give each a different object to attach to. The Tile has a small hole that allows you to place it on a keyring, but you can also slide it into a wallet, or stick it on a laptop.
When you activate a Tile in the app, you will hear a distinctive ringing. The Bluetooth range is good up to 100FT. If you are out of range, the app will show you the last known location of the object on a map. If the object is no longer at that location, you can have the network of Tile users around the world track the object until it is found. If you have misplaced your phone, you can press on any of your Tiles, and your phone will ring, even if it is on silent. Hello Cool Blind Tech, I enjoy listing to your podcasts and all the news you put on your site. My name is Daniel, and I am a AT trainer for a small CIL in southwestern Illinois. One struggle I have right now is printing Envelopes with addresses on it. As of now, I can go through MS Word to Mailing to Envelopes and put in delivery and return address. However when I print, there is a Manual feed dialogue box come up. My IT Director and I tried working on this. Botton line is that I can alt + c to continue in this inaccessible box. However, half of the time it does not work the way you want too.
So, it have suggested to me get a label maker unit and print labels to stick on the envelopes. Do you guys know any accessible but reasonably priced label printer for home us for our consumers?
How would you guys do Label printing? Thanks guys! read more
