Google Maps will now allow you to request an Uber ride while in the app, but I was curious about how useful and accessible it is. iOS
While in Google Maps:
• Speak your destination.
• Select directions.
• Select ride services.
• Select either UberX or UberXL.
• This will open the Uber app.
• Select request Uber.
Android
While in Google Maps:
• Speak your destination.
• Select directions.
• Select ride services.
• Select either UberX or UberXL.
• Request Uber.
While the feature is fully accessible on both platforms, it is easier to use on Android sense you do not have to exit Google Maps to request your Uber ride.
