Beta Talkback users, Google would like your Immediate Feedback

Late last month, We wrote about a brand new version of Talkback , Google’s screen reader for mobile devices. Fresh out of the Googleplex, it tried to fool us by using a minor version number which in reality included numerous major enhancements.

We surmised that a prior Talkback survey which Google sent out 3 weeks before was responsible if partially for this change. That form had questions which related to some of the current Talkback changes, such as touch gesture management.

If you are using the beta, be a good citizen and perform your beta testing duties well, as it might reward you. Google has published a Second survey which aims to collect feedback from the users of the latest 4.2.0 beta release. Speaking of which, the current version is now Beta 2, which fixes some problems such as typing on physical keyboards. It might also introduce new ones, as some report having issues with continuous reading functionality. Oops!

Keep in mind that this survey might close any moment, so it is vital that you complete it as soon as you can. Google cannot be predicted, but the last survey closed a week or two after it opened.
