Participants get a chance to win a non-subscription version license for
Seeing Eye GPS XT! And, at the same time, help develop an indoor wayfinding app.
Earlier this year, Sendero was awarded a federal grant from the
National Institute of Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation
Research to develop an iOS-based app for wayfinding inside large environments, such as airports, malls, sports arenas, hotels, and more.
You can help with that project by completing a 28-item survey questionnaire. The ideas and the preferences you share will contribute to the design of a user friendly and effective indoor wayfinding app. If you complete the survey questionnaire before June 25, you will be entered in the Sendero drawing to win a free license for the Seeing Eye GPS XT!
You can access the survey here.
From the developer:
- . The questionnaire will be completed independently online.
. Survey Monkey, a screen reader friendly program, will be used.
. You can access the questionnaire with your own secure computer.
. You can fill out the questionnaire in a quiet and private location of your choice.
. You should plan on 15-30 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
. Participation in the study does not require knowledge of iOS devices.
Important information about the drawing:
- . Only those who meaningfully complete the questionnaire qualify for the drawing.
. We expect the number of drawing participants to be in the vicinity of 200.
. There will be one winner for every 100 study participants.
. The drawing will be held on August 31, 2017 and the winners will be notified within one week.
Human Subject’s protection:
Because this research is being overseen by a Human Subject Review Board, you can stop participating at any time without risk of negative consequences.
