How to Enable New ‘Follow-Up Mode’ On Amazon Alexa
Amazon has updated its Alexa personal assistant with a new Follow-Up Mode that can handle back-to-back requests without requiring users to repeat the wake word, with Follow-Up Mode, Alexa will listen for 5 seconds after she’s done responding to you to see if you have anything else to ask. The blue ring on your Alexa device of choice will light up during these 5 seconds to indicate that she’s listening. Google’s Phone App for Android Now Transcribes Voicemail for T-Mobile Customers
The latest update for Google’s Phone app adds “Google-powered voicemail transcriptions for Pixel and Nexus smartphone owners on T-Mobile USA.” That sounds very similar to what Google Voice customers are already familiar with. When someone leaves you a voicemail, Google transcribes that message and puts the text right in the voicemail tab. It’s not always accurate, but gives some accessibility to hearing impaired users.
