Cool Tip: How to Move Multiple Home Screen Apps on iOS 11 at the Same Time

It’s now possible to move multiple app icons using drag and drop, allowing users to move multiple icons at once.

To use drag and drop using VoiceOver with Home screen app icons on your iPhone, simply do the following:

1. Step 1: Single finger double tap and hold an app icon while on the Home screen until edit mode is invoked (VO announces started editing.)

   Step 2: flick down and select the drag option on the first icon.

   Step 3: Navigate to another icon and single finger double tap, then flick down and select add to drag session to add it to your stack.

   Step 4: Continue to add icons using the method in step 3.

   Step 5: Once you have gathered all of the desired icons, move to the page and/or folder that you wish to move the icons to.

   Step 6: Flick down on a highlighted icon and you will have the option to drop the group of icons before or after the icon or even create a folder with the selected icon.

   Step 7: Press the Home button to exit edit mode (VO will announce finished editing.)

Currently only available in iOS 11, you can move multiple apps and folders to different locations on the Home screen, move multiple apps in and out of folders, and move multiple apps and folders to different Home screen pages.

This feature will be coming out to all users soon on the final release of iOS 11.
