Assistive tech can sometimes help us cope with adverse effects of various levels of sight loss. The Dreamlight is an eye mask trying to make a difference. This one comes with an optical heart rate monitor, IR sensors, accelerometers, gyroscopes and four speakers that are fitted into the side strap.

The makers of Dreamlight claim that the futuristic eye mask not only helps you sleep better but will also help your overcome long trips in a much better way. The ergonomics is touted as the best and the eye mask comes with a companion app. With the app, one can track the sleep schedule and also link to your personal gene profile and get a customized sleep schedule. The mask is also said to reduce the adverse effects of change in your sleep cycle and also help you relax during long trips.

The inside of the eye-mask is lined with LED panels which lay in front of both your eyes. These panels will help you fall asleep and also get up early in the morning. Unlike the alarm, the Dreamlight uses light to wake users up. However, the light is the only method to wake you up while the ambient sounds help you fall asleep.

The Dreamlight uses Gene Profiles from 23 and Me to optimize the sleep cycle to the last detail. The internal lights also help in improving the level of relaxation and achieve better REM cycles (Rapid Eye Movement). The Dreamlight is available via an Indiegogo campaign.
