GlovEye Brings Braille to Your Finger Tip.

At this year’s Microsoft Imagine Cup, a team from Hungary developed a glove that has a refreshable braille cell built into the index finger of the glove. The GlovEye works with an app on your smart phone. Just point the phone’s camera at some text, and braille will appear on the glove.

From the Developer

Tactile feedback gloves for smart devices which let blind and partially sighted people perceive printed text as Braille. The glove has a special Braille cell right under the index finger which can project any character as Braille to the user’s fingertip. This is connected via Bluetooth to our reader app which uses the camera of a smart device to track text and the finger of the user. GlovEye leverages the power of Microsoft’s cutting-edge AI technology to provide the best possible reading experience.
