NuEyes, a pioneer in the field of low-vision technology, and Pico Interactive, maker of innovative VR solutions, announced the launch of an all-in-one virtual reality device that can re-open the wearer’s eyes to a world they believed forever lost due to failing sight.
Thanks to the pairing of NuEyes’ proprietary software with Pico Interactive’s all-in-one Virtual Reality headset, people with macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa, and other vision conditions will once again be able to read, watch movies, see loved ones’ faces and be provided a better quality of life.
The NuEyes e2 delivers clarity with a 3K display (1440 x 1600 screen resolution at 90hz refresh rate), 101-degree field of view, HD camera, and QUALCOMM 835 snapdragon processor.
Utilizing the high-definition camera, NuEyes has optimized its functionality and autofocus, which offers the consumer true color visualization and powerful magnification up to 18x. The NuEyes software will also offer three contrast settings, optical character recognition/text-to-speech, brightness settings as well as an easy three-button configuration for convenience, flexibility and ease of use.
“We are thrilled to work with NuEyes’ innovative technology and serve the low-vision market. We’re inspired by NuEyes’ work and excited to help make a positive impact on people’s lives,” said Will Winston, partnerships manager at Pico Interactive.
