Walmart is Coming to Google Home
Using a voice activated speaker to do your shopping is becoming more popular, which is exactly what companies like Amazon were hoping would happen. Currently, Google Home users can shop with their device for products from companies that are connected with Google Express. Google Express features companies like Target, Costco, and Walgreens. And now, Walmart will be a part of Google Express by the end of September. Also, Google Express is dropping its membership fee in an attempt to generate more participation.
Handsfree Calling Comes to Google Home
If you have a Google Home voice activated speaker, you can now make calls in the U.S. and Canada to anyone in your contacts list and local businesses. Just say things like:
Google Home Can Now Control the Neato Robotic Vacuum.
Neato announced that several of their smart vacuums will now work with Google Home. These vacuums already work with Amazon Echo, and they can also be controlled with an app on your smart phone.
Ask your Neato to start cleaning and it will leave its docking station, and get to work. Ask Neato to report its battery level, and you will get an answer through your Google Home speaker. You can also control your Neato vacuum through your smart phone app even when you are not home.
The D3 Connected, D5 Connected, and Botvac Connected vacuums work with Google Home, but only in the US.
