LG Electronics announced that they will supply 15,000 TVs for people with hearing or visual impairments by the end of 2018. The company won an order from the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) and the Community Media Foundation.
Under the contract, people with low income or visual or hearing impairments will receive TV sets at no cost.
An LG spokesman declined to comment on how much money the firm was paid, but said the firm won the contract as it “developed TV sets specially designed for people with visual or hearing impairments.”
