Apple’s iOS Update Finally Makes it Easier to Manage Your Subscriptions

Apple recently introduced an easier way to manage subscriptions via the App Store, as spotted by MacStories editor-in-chief Federico Viticci.

iPhone and iPad users running iOS 12.1.4 or iOS 12.2 beta can now simply open the App Store, select on their profile picture in the top-right corner, (It will say My Account for VoiceOver users), and select on Manage Subscriptions to view and edit App Store, Apple Music, and Apple News subscriptions.

Managing subscriptions previously required an extra step of selecting the box with your Apple ID name and email address via the App Store or Settings. read more

How to Cancel App Subscriptions on the Google Play Store

Want to get rid of some recurring app subscriptions? There are a few steps you’ll need to take on Android. Google Play Store Cancelling an auto-renewing subscription on the Google Play Store is fairly straightforward.

Launch the Play Store app.

Select the ‘Show navigation drawer’ button, located on the top left corner of the screen, or swipe right from the left edge of the screen to open the ‘Menu’ shelf (2 finger swipe for TalkBack users.)

Select ‘Account.’

Select ‘Subscriptions.’

Here you’ll see all the subscriptions associated with your Play Store account. Select the one you would like to cancel.

How to Cancel App Subscriptions on the App Store

Want to get rid of some recurring app subscriptions on the App Store? There are a few steps you’ll need to take. Here’s how for iOS. App Store Cancelling a subscription on the App Store on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch only takes a few steps.

Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.

Select Apple ID at the top of the screen.

Select View Apple ID.

Select subscriptions.

Find the subscription you want to manage.

Select ‘Cancel Subscription.’ Your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.
