DT cane is introducing a Smart Cane that will “revolutionize the lives of the blind.”
The cane has been designed to offer the blind and visually impaired an opportunity to do the things that the sighted take for granted. The cane is capable of memo-rising locations both inside and out, finding doorways, recognizing objects, identifying buses and trains, currency and keys. It has built in safety devices and will connect to the user’s Smart Phone to dial for help if necessary.
The DT cane has a learning system with voice recognition and it supports several languages. It can recognize faces and voices and identify them for the cane user. It can assist the user from walking into dangerous situations and will alert them when there are puddles and snow drifts. The cane is equipped with a solar panel so it charges while outdoors. It can be used at night as it has a flashing light for night time use.
