A local runner from Massachusetts will be testing out some cutting edge technology during the Boston Marathon on Monday.
Erich Manser and his running partner, Dave, look like any other pair training for the Boston Marathon.
Their will be a third person who is from California that will be virtually joining the run, she’s acting as his eyes.

The technology consists of Google Glass, a mounted camera on the frame of specialized glasses connecting to an app on Manser’s phone where he can connect to someone anywhere in the United States who sees everything from his vantage point.
Manser is one of two people in Massachusetts testing out this technology and on Monday, April 17,.
His visual assistant for that day is equally as excited — even though she’ll be experiencing the race from California. Just in case the wireless signal drops off his running partner Dave will also be there running the marathon with him.
The 121st Boston Marathon will be run on Patriots’ Day, Monday, April 17, 2017 in Boston, Massachusetts. Coverage starts at 8:30am ET on the NBC Sports Network. You can get all the details on the race at bostonmarathon.org.
