US-based startup Digital Cash Inc (DCI) is launching a non-Internet digital payment device Digital Wallet, that is inclusive to blind and partially sighted users worldwide.
The digital payment device is designed for peer-to-peer (P2P) payments and is enabled to function for instant / on-the-spot payments anywhere in the world.
In addition to the blind and partially sighted friendly design, the device will have an option of listening to operational commands in audio format in user-selected languages compatible with wired and wireless audio systems.
As per estimates, 10% of the global economy is transacted in cash mainly for small payments through physical wallets. The idea of a secure digital wallet is to replace the physical wallets used for day-to-day small payments all over the world.
“The Digital Wallets will help eliminate or minimize the need for printing of currency notes, minting of coins, ATMs, and mobile Internet-based phone payment options, and also end worldwide counterfeit currencies,” says Raj Tore, Chairman, DCI.
The Digital Wallet, a multiple-language and currency-specific product, over the course of time will cover all 180 legal tender currencies of the world.
Digital Wallet, is an international patent pending device in 152 countries, functions on System on Chip (SoC), Digital Wallet Operating System (DWOS), Unique Embedded Text Script (UETS), Biometric User Management System (BUMS), and Unique Payment Processing Software (UPPS) application. The unique fingerprint-based BUMS offers users safety of their money from eventual fraud in case of loss of the device.
In the first phase, DCI, a subsidiary of Future Age Solutions, Singapore, has planned to launch a pilot project in a country with a population of about 100 thousand and then go for IPO – Initial Public Offer on NASDAQ to raise funds for worldwide expansion in multiple currencies.
