a new brand called Grace is making it its first priority to offer accessories that make makeup more accessible to those with physical challenges.

Nylon reports that Grace has launched a trio of products to improve the experience of using mascara for those with disabilities.

“Anyone, regardless of ability, should be able to use any beauty product they want to,” the brand says on its website.

“To help this cause, we’re making accessories for people with disabilities. Starting with mascara, we created add-ons for better grip, control, and safety.”

Priced under $11 each, the beautifully designed add-ons offer as much chicness as they do functionality. The Ring Grip, which slips a partial sleeve over the base of a mascara wand, features a rose-gold loop that allows users to maintain a grip without having to hold on too hard. The Square Grip features a widely ribbed sleeve for both ends of the mascara tube to make it easier to open, hold, and control. And the Safe Grip is a bulbous attachment that goes on the base of the wand to “give a wide-angled grip and ensure better control for all kinds of users.”

Grace is just starting out, so we’re hoping that means they expand their accessories selection beyond mascara and expand their availability beyond the U.K. For now, though, it appears the three mascara add-ons are exclusive to our friends across the pond, with pre-orders expected to ship in early June. But it’s a great start in a long-overdue movement toward accessibility in the beauty space.
