But, if you want to view a list of all your saved passwords on iOS 12 then things can be a little hectic. First you have to launch Settings then go to Passwords & Accounts then select Website & App Passwords.

But there’s another way to get around the problem and it’s by using the power of Siri. If you have iCloud Keychain and Siri enabled then this feature will work. Just launch Siri and say ‘Show me passwords,’ and Siri will just bring up the page where your passwords live. How to Enable and Disable Critical Alerts in iOS 12

Critical Alerts override the Do Not Disturb feature if you have it enabled on your iPhone or iPad, and will even arrive with an audio alert when your device is muted.

How to Use the Level in the Measure App in iOS 12 with Your iPhone

Apple’s new operating system, iOS 12, introduces a new measurement app that also includes a level.

Here is how to Use the Level

  • Open the Measure app in the Utilities folder.
  • Select Level at the bottom of the screen.
  • Now find the surface you’d like to check for level and place your iPhone on it. You can hold it in portrait or landscape mode or even face up. When the surface you are testing is level, you’ll get 0° and a green screen.

    How to use Live Listen with Your AirPods on iOS 12

    In iOS 12, the Live Listen feature comes to AirPods,. It’s a great feature that can really help those who don’t necessarily need a hearing aid but are having trouble hearing others in a difficult situation. Here’s how to get it working.

    1. Launch Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls.
    2. Search for the “Hearing” control and add it to your Include list by selecting the (+) sign next to it.
    3. Just add Live Listen to your Control Center to use the feature with your AirPods.

    To use Live Listen, do the following:

    1. Make sure your AirPods are connected to your iPhone (check your Bluetooth settings).
    2. Open Control Center (Low vision users can swipe down from the upper right on iPhone X, or swipe up from the bottom edge on older iPhones. VoiceOver users can single finger swipe down from the top edge until first haptic vibration on iPhone X, or touch status bar and 3 finger swipe up from the bottom edge on older iPhones)
    3. Select the Live Listen icon, which looks like an ear. If your AirPods are connected, you should see them listed along with a little sound level monitor.

    If Live Listen is active, you’ll see a little sound meter. If you are a VoiceOver user than you will need to silence VoiceOver because the audio from the screen reader comes out through the iPhone speaker while the Live Listen feature is on in the current version of iOS 12. read more

    iOS 12 Will Automatically Share Your iPhone’s Location with 911

    The new feature will be part of iOS 12, the upcoming software update for the iPhone and iPad, and will help emergency services locate a person more quickly when in need. It will be available to users in the U.S. only.

    “Communities rely on 911 centers in an emergency, and we believe they should have the best available technology at their disposal,” Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said.

    In 2015, Apple launched Hybridized Emergency Location (HELO), which uses cell towers and other information like Wi-Fi access points to determine a 911 caller’s location. The new update will use technology developed by a company called RapidSOS to share that location data with emergency services. read more

    Live Listen Coming to AirPods in iOS 12 Update

    Apple in 2014 introduced a Live Listen feature that’s designed to allow the iPhone to pair with hearing aids and then serve as a remote microphone that beams the audio the iPhone picks up to the hearing aids.

    As reported by TechCrunch, Live Listen is coming to the AirPods with the iOS 12 update, letting iPhone users position their iPhones as a directional mic and have the audio relayed through the AirPods.

    With this feature, an iPhone user could, for example, put an iPhone on the table in a noisy restaurant and then have the voice of whomever is speaking routed to the AirPods as a stand-in for hearing aids for those who are hard of hearing or need a bit of extra help separating voices in a loud environment. read more

    Coming into WWDC, Apple hinted that iOS 12 would focus less on major new features and more on improving performance and eliminating bugs and that is exactly what we got with a few extras.

    The new update for iPhones and iPads includes some significant additions, changes, and improvements. Screen Time, Memoji, Group FaceTime, and grouped notifications are just some of the new things that you’ll notice when you install iOS 12.

    The update will be available on all the same devices that received iOS 11. Apple is working to make iOS feel faster, particularly on older iPhones and iPads. Federighi said that in Apple’s tests on an iPhone 6 Plus, apps launch 40 percent faster, the system keyboard comes up 50 percent faster, and opening the camera is 70 percent faster. Apple is working to speed things up for the full range of devices supported by iOS 12. The company is also focused on times when devices are under heavy load; iPhones and iPads will now be better than ever at delivering optimal performance while also prolonging battery life. read more
